January Travel Nurse of the Month: Jaime

Nurse appreciation is paramount for Health Carousel Travel Nursing. We believe that nurses deserve to feel special because they are bettering the lives of so many on a daily basis. For this very reason, we run with the chance to highlight the achievements of our amazing travelers.

Our January Travel Nurse of the Month is… Jaime! Jaime has traveled with us for almost a year, and she is currently on her third extension with the SAME healthcare facility. Christa Reichardt, Jaime’s recruiter, stated that the facility continues to offer Jaime extensions because of her ability to provide exceptional patient care as well as her commitment to being a team player.

Jaime goes beyond the call of duty, and she consistently receives recognition for her accomplishments. She has received positive performance notes from patients, other nurses, and leaders within the facility. For example, Jaime recently earned the Star Award from her current facility because of her “remarkable professionalism that creates a sanctuary of healing for patients, visitors, and fellow caregivers.” Other notes that we’ve seen highlight Jaime’s willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that her unit has the coverage it needs to function properly. These are just a couple of Jaime’s numerous accolades.

We asked Jaime to tell us a little more about herself and her experience as a traveler.  This is what she had to say:

“I’ve been a nurse for 11 years and traveling for 4 years. I’ve been married for 20 years and have 3 beautiful girls. I specialize in mostly ER. I love traveling for the experience and adventure. I love having the independence to take time off between contracts to be with my family and take care of our farm. It also has given me the opportunity to meet new people and see different cultures.”
